Coach Courtney Vanderpool has been named the Varsity Head Volleyball Coach at Chesterfield High School.  Coach Vanderpool is a native of Towanda, Pennsylvania.  In 2016, she relocated to South Carolina and joined Chesterfield County School District.

Coach Jonathan Eason has been named the Varsity Head Football Coach at Central High School.  Coach Eason is a native of Chesterfield County and a 2006 graduate of Central High School.  Coach Eason earned a Bachelor's in Secondary Education from USC Upstate and a Master's in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.

Mr. Harold Palmera has been named the Principal of Cheraw High School for Chesterfield County School District beginning with the 2024-2025 school year.  Mr. Palmera is in his 32nd year of education.

Mrs. Jessica McManus, the Agriculture and Animal Science teacher at Central High School was named the 2024-2025 Chesterfield County School District Teacher of the Year at the District’s annual Teacher of the Year Banquet held May 9, 2024.

All High School Graduations will be streamed on Saturday, May 25th.

Michael Covington has been named Employee of the Year at the Palmetto Learning Center (PLC). Congratulations to Mr. Covington, who has been employed with the district for 11 years. (pictured is Dr. Omoro King, Director of Student Services, presenting to Mr. Mike Covington.)

Congratulations to Rochelle McManus on being selected the District Office Employee of the Year. Rochelle is an asset not only to our Exceptional Education Department but also our district office because she is always willing to help others.

Mrs. Sarah Robker, Speech Language Professional (SLP) at Plainview Elementary and Ruby Elementary was named Chesterfield County School District’s 2023-2024 Rookie Educator of the Year at the May 6, 2024 Induction Seminar.
