Congratulations to Andrew Smith for being selected as a top-50 finalist for the 2026 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence! Recognizing top-tier skilled trades educators in U.S. public high schools, the program puts Andrew in the running for one of 25 final prizes totaling $2 million this fall.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the flagship prize program, created by Harbor Freight Tools founder Eric Smidt through The Smidt Foundation. To date, the initiative has awarded over $10 million to 183 trades teachers across the country.
