Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year!

The hallways are quiet right now, but they won't be for long! We are thrilled to welcome our returning students, greet our new families, and kick off another incredible year of learning, growth, and community.

Every new school year brings a fresh chapter filled with endless possibilities. This year, we are especially focused on fostering creativity, building strong connections, and supporting every student as they discover their unique potential. Our dedicated teachers and staff have been working hard all summer to prepare classrooms that are safe, inspiring, and ready for day one.

📅 Quick Checklist for Families:

  • Registration for NEW STUDENTS will start Wednesday, July 1, 2026.  (link will be shared on the district website, Facebook and Instagram.)

  • District-Wide Registration Day will start Wednesday, July 8th. (link will be shared on the district website, Facebook, Instagram and ParentSquare.)

  • District-Wide Back to School Night : Monday, July, 27th, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM – Meet your teachers, see your classrooms and drop off supplies!

  • First day of school for students:  Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

  • Update Your Student’s Information here – Make sure your contact details are updated in the Parent Portal.

  • Stay Connected: Make sure you are registered with ParentSquare, CCSD’s communication portal.  Receive school and district news, get important alerts and reminders.

  • Parents are reminded that the South Carolina Department of Revenue (DOR) will hold its annual Tax Free Weekend August 7th-9th.

    During this time frame, shoppers are exempt from paying the 6% state sales tax and any applicable local sales tax when they shop in stores or online.

    Eligible items include clothing, accessories, shoes, school supplies, backpacks and computers.

  • All students entering school are required by State Law to have a South Carolina State Certificate of Immunization (DPH 4024).

    Special Exemptions:

    If any required immunizations are missing, a Certificate of Special Exemption (DHEC 1123) will be issued allowing the student to continue to attend school until the required immunizations can be received or their records can be transferred from another location.

    The special exemption expires 30 days from the date issued and can only be issued to the student once.

    If a SC Certificate of immunization has not been turned in to the school by the expiration date on the Certificate of Special Exemption (DHEC 1123), your student will not be allowed to attend school until they have received the required immunization(s) or exemption(s).

     

    SCDPH Vaccine Requirements & Information

     

    Obtaining Immunization Certificates:

    Students who receive immunizations from South Carolina providers and are up to date on all of their required vaccines can access their immunization record through the SIMON public portal.

    If your student received their immunizations outside South Carolina a copy of their official immunization record may be entered with your consent into the SIMON immunization registry by the local health department, a SC medical provider, or their school nurse.

    Religious Exemptions:

    A South Carolina Certificate of Religious Exemption (DPH 1126) form can be printed by following the link below.

    All Religious Exemption Forms must be signed by a parent/guardian, notarized by a Notary Public of South Carolina , and presented to the school nurse.

  • Back to School Night is Monday, July 27th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.

    Schools and offices will open at noon.
